THE SITUATION
There are 1.8 billion people between the ages of 10 and 24 in our world, which accounts for about a quarter of the world’s population. If we take it one step further, over half the world’s population is under 30 years of age, according to statistics released by the United Nations. In developed countries such as the United States and Canada, populations are aging, which means the “least developed countries” on earth, are accounting for approximately 89 % of the world’s youth. There is no better time than the present to invest our education and resources into rapidly developing countries and its youth populations. By doing just that, we are contributing to help avoid potential problems in the near future which will most likely result in unemployment, political unrest, alcohol and drug abuse which will create economic drag throughout our entire world.
The volunteer programs we offer will provide you with an opportunity to work with youth to develop compassion and helpful attitudes towards each other and their communities, teach the value of education and encourage them to attend school and learn new skills. As a volunteer, you will get a chance to educate the parents of today's youth on the importance of education and encourage them to send their children to schools through our volunteer teaching programs. While volunteering, you will be able to spread awareness about issues like health and hygiene and assist youth in developing good habits, assist with personal challenges related to education and help those who are attending schools with their homework and class work.
